NBP-ICA T20 League:CRA Club Clinches Thriller in a super over

ISLAMABAD - CRA Club landed home with a sensational victory in the Super over of the tied match against Imran Memorial Club in the NBP-ICA T20 Cricket Tournament – 2017, played here at Bhutto Ground. After each team scored 133 runs, it was decided to ensure result by giving super over to both sides; CRA scored 13 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in the eliminator and restricted Imran Memorial to 8 for 1, the match was witnessed by sizable crowd with great interest. Scores: Imran Memorial 133 for 7 in 20 overs (Hammad Abbas 45, Waleed Iqbal 25, Ahmed Abbasi 21 not out – Muhammad Naseer 3 for 19, Muhammad Shameer 2 for 29). CRA Club 133 in 20 overs (Faisal Ali 43, Ahmed Khan 29, Muhammad Naseer 22 – Sohail Khan 3 for 28, Hammad Ibrahim 2 for 16, Waleed Iqbal 2 for 20). Super Over: CRA 13 for 1, Imran Memorial 8 for 1. In another match at Bhutto Ground, Evan Club defeated Millat Club by 5 wickets with Zeeshan Irshad hitting unbeaten 88 runs, Evan’s Faisal Masih smashed 11 fours and 3 sixes in his polished 84 runs innings. Scores: Millat 155 for 6 in 20 overs (Zeeshan Irshad 88 not out, Arslan Ahmed 21 – Tariq Pervaiz 3 for 16, Ashir Mashih and Kamran Raja shared one wicket each). Evan Club 159 for 5 in 17.5 overs (Faisal Masih 84 not out, Tariq Arif 26, Kamil Gill 17 – Haris Hasan 2 for 19, Sandal Hasan and Zeeshan Irshad shared one wicket each). At Margalla Ground, mighty Essco Club beat Ghouri Club by 33 runs with Munirur Rehman Tanzil hitting 57 runs and claiming 2 wickets. Scores: Esco: 162 in 19.4 overs (Munirur Rehman Tanzil 57, Nauman Nazir 31, Syed Zeeshan 31 – Ayub Khan 2 for 23, Wasim Abbas 2 for 26, Waqar Ali 2 for 27). Ghouri Club 128 for 9 in 20 overs (Saqib Ali 45, Shahab Baloch 25, Wasim Abbas 21 not out – Hassan Khan 4 for 21, Munirur Rehman Tanzil 2 for 21, Nouman Nazir 2 for 25. In a high scoring game at Margalla Ground on the same day, Youngster Club outclassed Capital Gymkhana by 8 wickets with Mehtab Abbasi scoring 49, match was decided on the last ball.
