Under the exchange program with China, the Pakistani delegation going to Beijing continued a visit to various tourist and educational places
BEIJING (CHINA) – Pakistani Youth delegation reach Beijing on Wednesday to visit different sports facilities and also Beijing’s biggest Sports University. The delegation was suppose to be headed by MNA Bilal Virk, but he fail to reach airport and he was replaced by Secretary Saeed as Chef de Mission, while Pakistan Sports Board Deputy Director General Administration Mansoor Ahmed Khan as deputy chef de mission along with more than top 40 athletes, including Vth Asian Indoor Games silver medallist, held in Turkmenistan, Adnan Tyrewalla, Famous judo player Beenish Khan, Komal, Humiera, takewando champion, former Pakistan hockey team player Majid, netball players and others were also accompanying the delegation. It was highly hectic day for the visiting Pakistani youth delegation, as the delegation arrive in Beijing at 9:00am local time, the delegation was taken to hotel and after spending an hour at the hotel, they were taken to different sports facilities, while Pakistan embassy officials in Beijing were also present on the occasion, the delegation visited tennis, basketball and soccer facilities and met with top Chinese players and athletes, who were highly humbled and cooperative and met with Pakistani counterparts in highly cordial and friendly environment and assured their all out help to Pakistani athletes in best possible fashion. While sharing his views PSB DDG Admin Mansoor Ahmed Khan termed it is a highly significant visit of Pakistani youth as we are going to visit today (Thursday) Chinese top sports university and the administration had assured us of lending helping hand and also sign MoU for exchange programmes, as all know Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Minister Mian RIaz Hussain Pirzada is highly vocal in establishing Pakistan’s first-ever Sports University in collaboration with HEC at PSB premises, the tour of top Beijing university will help us a great deal and it could pave way for our athletes to showcase their skills just like Chinese, who had pose serious challenge to USA dominance in sports world, our athletes are looking highly optimistic and looking forward to learn from our highly close friends. He further said, like past, we are also planning to either base our players in China, or invite top Chinese coaches and athletes to Pakistan and take advantage from their vast and superior experiences, while we can also provide Chinese counterparts with coaches and top officials in the fields of hockey, squash, tennis, wrestling, judo, belt wrestling, goresh and other fields, as we had ruled hockey and squash world. While sharing his views Adnan Tyrewala, who is a well-known wrestler and had won number of national and international titles for Pakistan termed it would be great opportunity for him and other wrestlers to learn latest techniques and other athletes could also benefit a great deal, we also had almost similar facilities and infrastructure, but we lack behind due to fast changing rules and regulations and above all latest techniques, one thing is quite sure, we had beaten top wrestlers in the past and can do the same in future too, it means we had the talent and world class material, we just need top class coaches and latest training facilities, Adnan concluded.
